Sky Organics Tinted Lip Balm Review

For women who have sensitive lips, full-on lipstick is often too irritating for them, not because of one particular ingredient, but because the sheer viscosity of the cosmetic. For those women, they often turn to thinner tinted lip balms to give their lips some color while not overwhelming them with chemicals. While Sky Organics Tinted Lip Balm has “organic” right in its title, is it really a balm for sensitive lips?

Sky Organics sells their tinted lip balm not individually, but in packs of four or six different colors. Which, for their price, makes it a lip balm that is actually worth buying online since the price of the product isn’t lower than the shipping for it. As for the colors, you won’t get the same vibrant tones of actual lipstick, but it does give your lips a surprisingly good tint without being ridiculously thick. This is a lip balm that will color your lips, but you won’t find any of it sticking to your teeth very often. Since the colors range from very light for a sheen effect to super dark, you also get a nice amount of style choices if you like to vary lip color from day to day.

The real question is if Sky Organics Tinted Lip Balm is actually organic. The good news is that it is, but there is some bad news if you have allergies. The product uses beeswax, castor oil, coconut oil, and argan oil, so if you have a specific allergy to those, you may be out of luck. However, it also features mica, but other than that, it doesn’t have any complex chemicals that you can’t pronounce, let alone identify. The ingredients are all organic, and all easily identifiable.

Aside from the potential allergy triggers, Sky Organics Tinted Lip Balm comes infused with vitamin E to enrich lips and aloe vera to sooth them. It also uses vanilla for flavoring and peppermint oil to give a plumping effect to your lips. While these fragrances may be nice to some, it does kind of make this tinted lip balm seem more like it is aimed at adolescent girls rather than adult women with sensitive lips.
