Neutrogena Healthy Skin Compact Review

Although Neutrogena has never really been a makeup or skincare product for those with cosmetic sensitivities, it has always sort of marketed itself as a product for those with sensitive skin. Whether it was sensitivities to makeup or you just had your acne flare up terribly, they have been there to stem the tide with their products.

While they mostly stick to skincare and cleansing products, the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Compact pressed powder foundation might actually be one of the better pressed powder foundations out there. While it uses mica like almost every pressed powder product out there, it actually doesn’t have much more in the way skin irritation causing chemicals.

Perhaps the nicest part of this pressed powder is that it has SPF 55 sun protection, but it doesn’t use titanium dioxide or iron oxide. So if you are sensitive to those two when it comes to SPF, then this compact may be a viable option for sun protection, because it does actually protect really well with just a thin layer.

Aside from not feeling greasy or heavy on your face, like any good Neutrogena product, it is also non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t be getting stuck in your pores and causing you another woeful acne breakout. Providing that mica isn’t your particular irritation trigger, in which case you are likely locked out from pressed powder completely, this is a great way to go. You get some awesome sun protection without the typical chemicals and the foundation itself layers nicely.
